Pagers
Metrocall is the major supplier of pagers for the University. Metrocall can provide either digital or alphanumeric pagers. Digital pagers are $2.40/pager/month and alphanumeric pagers are $6.20/pager/month and include software for sending messages.
Metrocall bills the University on one compact disk each month. This disk contains all billing information for each department and each pager. Monthly billing information is posted on a web site and contains the current and the previous month's charges.
To order a pager, please call Stan Oakland at 1-6161. I have pagers in my office which I can activate for you. I need a department number and account number for billing. No other paperwork is required. Your billing information will show up on the next month's compact disk.
I will also take care of any pager replacements.
